Meizam Haaretz strives to lead this whole process by adhering to high standards of reliability and warm customer relations. The company was founded by Yochanan Lombard and Gershon Labovitch.
Yochanan Lombard has led several building projects in Rishon Letzion and is now focusing on Jerusalem.
He served as Rosh Kollel and is a renowned expert on halachic issues of kohanim, heading the worldwide organization for kohanim. He is also a proficient programmer and has created many database applications for various institutions.
Gershon Labovitch is a 3rd generation real estate entrepreneur and has served in several leading Real Estate companies.
Meizam Haaretz specializes in initiating Tama 38 projects, following them through the whole process of signing up the apartment owners, architectural plannning, permits and licensing, and building construction.
We take great pride in maintaining good personal relations with all parties involved, adhering to timetables, and ensuring high quality workmanship.

Tama 38
In 1975 the Israeli government realized that, being on the volatile East African Rift, the chance of suffering a major earthquake is always very tangible.
A law was passed requiring all new buildings to adhere to strict engineering standards, and the question of what to do with all the existing frail buildings remained open. An additional law termed 'Tama 38' was later passed waiving zonal building requlations to allow extra stories to be added to old buildings which have been restored with the new engineering standards.
The idea was that the sale of the additional apartments would finance the strengthening of the existing ones. As time passed more stories were allowed to encourage more restoration and to date most of the old buildings in the major cities are in some stage of the process.
